Friends w/ Expectation,
We made it to Wyoming late Monday evening after another long day of travel. Again, we had weather related issues/delays that gave us a 16-hour travel day! I spoke briefly that night to kick the camp off. Tuesday night was our first night of ministry. I am believing the Lord to do great and might things in our midst. Signs, wonders and miracles do follow those who believe! I am praying for the Lord to bear witness of the preaching of the word and that He comes among us so we can behold His glory!
In Him,
Greg

Friends w/ Expectation:
Tonight I am preparing to head out for Wyoming on Monday morning. Gretchen is at Camp to Know Him heading up the kitchen crew for our Rock Family Worship Center’s children’s camp. Leah is attending camp while Micah and Salome are serving in various capacities and Spencer and Brittany are leading worship. Meanwhile Abby has been holding down the house tending to Levi, David, Hannah and Harvest. I have been keeping Steward busy working here at Christ Cove. I am about 75% complete in renovating an 1820 log home into a Chapel with a guest room. It is going to be a great place to get away with the Lord!
Monday I will be taking Stewart, Abby and one of Abby’s friends BreeAnna with me to attend a youth camp for Victory Church in Denver, CO. The camp will actually be in Glendo, WY. I will be speaking to the youth Monday through Friday. I am so honored to still minister at youth camps each summer! I will never forget the Lord speaking to me these words after I asked Him my purpose: “Put into those who will outlast you something that will last them forever.” In other words, I am to put into a younger generation, that will outlast me, the Word of God, which will last forever.
This Sunday in Scottsboro I will be starting a series on “Drawing the Presence of God”. I am with David when he said, “My heart and my flesh cry out for the Living God.” May it be the one thing we all desire, to dwell in His Presence, all of our days!
In Him,
Greg

Friends-
Gretchen and I slipped away for a night and day in Chattanooga last night. On June 30th we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. I can truly say I am happier today than I was the day I met her or the day I married her. She is absolutely the best thing the Lord h as done for me in this life and to top it off, we have 11 wonderful children! The Word of God is right on when it says, “When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing. And with the good thing comes favor with God.”
We have just had a great time of prayer for many of you, for all of our children and the great church we get to be a part of! Know that you are loved and appreciated!
In Him,
Greg

Just a few more "happy" days and then.....
Several years ago Greg changed the verse of "I'll Fly Away" from "Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away....to just a few more happy days....I like that. We have a few more days on our two week trip before we embark on our journey home. It has been a great trip with the whole family. We actually have not been able to be housed in one place the whole time which has been challenging to spend quality time together as well as we are traveling in two vehicles everywhere we go.....so much for my travel trivia questions... It has been a rich time though connecting with old relationships and making new ones. I myself have enjoyed some one on one ministry with several people. I love it when God decides to use us (His vessels) to "pour" out what He has put in us.
One night we were able to sit down as a family and share what we had gathered from the trip so far...that was great time just laughing, crying, and sharing our hearts with one another. We have seen, heard, and experienced first hand the goodness of God and the testimony of Jesus. One thing that was mentioned is how we, as a whole family unit, minister to people when they encounter us. The beauty of it is that when we are just living life, trying to live out the will of God, we will touch people when we don't even realize it. Our lights are forever shining in a dark world where people are confused, hurting, and need a person to love on them. People are always watching.....how important our walks are before God and others.
Greg will be ministering tonight at the youth group here in Hopkinsville and tomorrow morning at a "flow however God leads" service....now, those are fun. Then Sunday morning two services will wrap up our time on the road and we will be heading South to Scottsboro, Alabama. This has been a great adventure!!!
